I'm a busy little bee at the moment. Revisions are in for my Valentine's story, and then I'm working on another book that has to be done and dusted by mid-July.
In the meantime, I'm blogging over at the Pink Heart Society today, talking about story structure and character arc - especially that sticky middle point.

The road to nowhere...
I'm over at the Pink Heart Society today. It's part five of my series on story structure and character arc and I'm talking fun and games with crickets and tumbleweed.

Fridays and Failure
I will continue my posting on theme/writing process shortly, but I'm chewing over a few questions Janet and Cara posed in the comments section of my last post, and trying to wrestle Finn and Allegra's story into submission.
In the meantime, I'm about to ditch at least two scenes of my Little Mermaid story and write something new. I have too much of my heroine on her own, thinking. She needs to be interacting with the hero. And when he's a hero who's quite as delicious as Finn McLeod I'm not sure why she isn't. Maybe it's the fear...
And talking of fear (which is very relevent before I hit the 'delete' button on chapter three), Michelle Styles has written a fab post for the Pink Heart Society on why failure can be the writer's best friend!

A couple of links...
I'm blogging over at the Pink Heart Society today. Our new Tuesday column is 'Crafty Corner' and I'm sharing a warming winter recipe that my family wolf down, given the opportunity - Lamb & Parsnip Stew with Low-Fat Dumplings. Also, Marie Clare have done a little piece on the Together Shop in Selfridges, which I blogged about last week.

Blogs and Magazines
I’m off a-travelling on Tuesday. I’m attending the RWA conference in Washington DC this week. If you see me there, say hi!
I shall be blogging about my experiences, when time and jet lag allows, both here and over at the Pink Heart Society - along with some of my writing buddies. In the meantime, check out the August issue of Prima magazine. On p146 there is an article on ‘How To Write A Bestseller’ and I’ve given some advice on writing romantic fiction.
