Decadence?

At the moment I am sitting in bed writing this on my laptop. Nope, not in a moment of pink-feather-boaed romance writer decadence, but because I am up to my eyeballs in cold and flu medication and my legs feel like jelly.

And, as if by magic, my proofs arrived. It's like they know when it's the worst time to turn up. Having said that, I'm quite enjoying reading Fern & Josh's story back ("Saying Yes to the Millionaire"). My editor seems to be very pleased with it, so we will just have to see how it does next June when it comes out.

I have to agree I only get sick when I have a million things on my to-do list that can't be ignored. Of course, I'm saying this because I'm sick too and there is homework to be done.

Hope you feel better soon. Oh, and I'm the woman you sat next to at RWA conference during Robin's Perinni(sp?) turning points lecture.

Hey, Mel! Nice of you to drop on by my blog. I had such a blast at the RWA conf. Didn'e we laugh our heads off at the PJ party?

The Tarzan blow up doll is what did it. Plus for me it was the first time I felt like an author. People understood what I was talking about when I talked about my writing process, characters, and how lovely and/or depending on the day frustrating writing is.

Again, thanks for stopping by my blog to congratulate me.

((Fiona)) Hope you feel better soon. Almost everyone I know has some kind of coldy sickness at the moment.

Hope the cold is better soon. My eldest is at home with said cold (installed on sofa with cool drink, duvet and Pokemon codex thingy) so I know how you must feel.

(And I must *not* get this cold until after my scary dentist appointment next week.)

PS - why does my mansion look so much like yours? And why don't we have a music room?
